Hi Openbots Experts, I got the following error when trying to send an email using "Send outlook email" command.

Error Occurred at line 1: [Type:'System.ArgumentException], Message: "No se pudo completar la operacin porque uno o ms parmetros son incorrectos. Pngase en contacto con el soporte tcnico para la aplicacin del cliente.'

The parameters included in the "send email" command:

Sender: "xxxxx@gmail.com" Recipients: new List<string>() {"xxxxxxx@gmail.com"} Subject: "test email" Email body: "body test" Email body type: Plain

Could you provide guidance?

Thanks!

Hi,

The above issue was resolved, and the issue was regarding - Primary account being non-outlook email account, and a fix has been made and that will be released in the next version. For the send outlook email command doesn't require any password, as it will connect to the outlook installed in the system.

In case of non-outlook account, you can use SMTP commands available, where you can add username and password exclusively.

Please let me in case of further queries.

Hello, Have you been able to resolve the problem ?

I was wondering if Send Outlook Email Command was working in test directly in openbots studio ? End, if he need passwords to send from the send email ?

Thanks

David,

As I mentioned, the error seems to be caused by Microsoft rather than OpenBots. Because of this, it hasn't been possible for us to recreate the error on our end. However, we would be happy to take a closer look at the issue in your environment to help you resolve it. We can schedule a Teams meeting to get into a troubleshooting session, let me know if this works for you.

Thanks!

Hi Nataly, I have cleared the outlook cache out as indicated in the link but the error persists. I got exactly the same message. Kind regards.

David,

upon further investigation, the error does seem to originate from Microsoft. Please follow this guide for more information: https://www.pstrecovery.net/blog/could-not-complete-the-operation-one-or-more-parameters-are-not-valid-outlook.html

Let me know if you are able to bypass the error!

Hi David,

the information shared seems to be correct, and should not cause any issues when running the command. Is Outlook installed on the machine where Studio is running? and if so, has it been setup to accept programmatic access?
