Using OB Server 1.5.0 for On-Premises Agent connection

Hey, so is it still possible to use OB server 1.5.0 and create credentials and connect agents to it? I've followed all the guides to set it up, but when I try to connect my agent I get this error:

Exception when calling AuthApi.RefreshToken: Error calling GetAuthToken: Unable to connect to the remote server

What am I missing here?

Hi NATBAR001,

We have 2 options to deploy Server: Cloud and on-prem. Cloud Server is backwards compatible since Agent v.1.6.0 and On-prem is backwards compatible since v1.7.0. Just want to know which version of agent are you using.

For the above error - Troubleshooting steps are -

  1. Please restart the OpenBotAgent Service - Navigate to Start > Services > OpenBotsSvc - Restart. Try to connect again agent to server.
  2. Configure SSL for HTTPS - Navigate to Start - Search for IIS> Sites> OpenBots Server HTTP> Bindings> Site Bindings Window > Click on add > Choose type as HTTPS > Host Give your PC name from agent > attach the SSL Certificate and port 443 and click ok and now you will able to connect to server using agent and run automation. In case you do not have SSL certificate - Please follow the below link - https://academy.openbots.ai/lessons/self-signed-certification-creation-and-binding-for-sandbox-environment-2/

Please let me know in case of further queries.

Hi NATBAR001,

I want to confirm from you whether in the agent which option have you selected - Orchestrator - OpenBotsCloudServer or On-premises and also kindly share the URL of OpenBots server as well.

To resolve the above issue - Few options I want to suggest here -

  1. Restart the OpenBots service - Navigate to Home button > Services > OpenBotsSvc > Right click - Restart and then try to connect the Agent to Server.

  2. Other suggestion - Please follow the set up procedure in below links - https://academy.openbots.ai/courses/openbots-architecture-and-configuration/ https://academy.openbots.ai/lessons/connecting-openbots-agent-to-server/
